Amazon, Walmart, and Target made it to the Commons' Dirty Money List for 2025. These major retailers have contributed to climate-obstructive campaign committees. For every dollar Target contributed to pro-climate candidates or committees, it donated 12% more to climate-obstructive ones. And yes, this is public information.

Walmart's record is even worse: for every dollar it contributed to pro-climate candidates or committees, it donated 54% more to climate-obstructive ones.

Amazon, while marginally better, has still contributed over $3 million to climate-obstructive candidates and PACs, and its lobbying partners have ties to the fossil fuel industry.

Shopping from these major retailers or their subsidiary companies indirectly supports climate-obstructive policies.
